I attended a friend's bar gigs the other evening and there I noticed how 'girly' everything seemed to be. She was one of the organizers and, knowing her, she put a touch of her affection for all things girly during the gig. Glitters, pink, and more glitters were the theme of the evening.
But what really caught my attention were not the glitters. It was definitely not the color pink. What caught my attention were the balloons and how handily the organizers of the gig turned them into various animal shapes. It was definitely balloon sculpture at work and I loved it. Unlike other arts and crafts that require a lot of material, the only thing that you need for balloon sculpture is, well, a balloon. Those elongated baloons are used most of the time for balloon modelling, which may either come in single-balloon or multiple-baloon forms. You might also need air pumps, as it will become impossible to inflate hundreds of balloons with your mouth at a given time. A lot of skill will also be needed. Do not take the art lightly, as it has already evolve its own vocabulary to describe the moves needed in order to create the balloon sculptures. There are various styles of doing balloon sculptures, but most people who have already reached intermediate and advanced levels of balloon modelling typically concentrate on one style only. Once you have mastered the art of creating balloon models, you will find out how useful it can be. When you already have children, you will find the ability to create these balloon sculptures as a nice way to get the attention of the children and provide free entertainment. Any party will become lively with the presence of artists who know how to make their art with balloons. This is not to mention that it can become an additional source of income for you if you have manage to have high showmanship skills. So are you ready to become the life of the party?
