Your Arts N Crafts ArticlesWhat Is Your Source of Inspiration?
Making crafts is an outlet where we can unleash our own creativity and show how artistic the human race can be. It is this outpour of creativity and innovation that sets the typical from the greats, the ordinary from the extraordinary. Without creativity, we'll be just a bunch of zombies trying to figure out ways how we can prolong our useless existence.
But this creativity also has to come somewhere. While some people have a relentless stream of creative juices waiting to be tapped, most of us here need some sort of source of inspiration just to be able to create something. We all have our own ways of having this kind of inspiration. Some people choose to travel a lot and find that the world in itself is their source of creativity. While we try to create new things out of nothing, our planet is already there to show us ideas on which we can build from. Some people have other people as their source inspiration, like a family, a friend, or some other special person in their lives. For me, I have music. While I don't exactly call myself a musician (because I honestly don't know how to play music), music has been my source of inspiration for almost every creative thing I do. Music, with its fluid stream of notes and sounds, has always been there to allow my mind to play up and get going. If a piece of music is on the depressing side, and I hear it, expect that my creations reflect sorrow and longing. The opposite is also true. I have become so dependent on music that I cannot exactly make anything creative without the aid of music. It is not only the case for handicrafts. Music has also been my guiding hand and source of creative strength for practically anything creative that I do, like written works, for example. We have our inspirations. And it is these inspirations that make our crafts (and our other creative products) actually better than what they could possibly be without it. You can talk about...
