There are art forms that you can do on your own. These art forms require a lot of concentration on the part of the artist and sometimes the results are so good that you will be surprised to find out that it was only done by a single person. This is the "common" type of art, propagated by artists through the years.
Then there are those art forms that require the combined efforts of multiple human beings in order to accomplish and to create a stunning effect. I particularly like these types of art forms because it tells us a lot about humanity and the respective culture of the group or the society that initiated the creation of that art. Sometimes, it stuns and surprises you literally. What you are seeing above is the well-remembered flash mob in the Antwerp train station. It all started with the song Do Re Mi ringing all over the station's lobby. A man suddenly danced to the tune spontaneously, as if he was just a bystander who felt like dancing. Then there came another dancer. And then another one. And then a few dozen more. In a blink, there were already hundreds of people dancing to this much-loved song from the musical plays of the past. A flash mob is a type of performance art, wherein a group of people meet in a public space all at once to do something that is not regularly done there. In the example above, it is a group of people bursting into a dance. The goal of a flash mob is to surprise people. It is also a good social experiment on the power of spontaneity in public spaces. Group art is a powerful kind of art. Added with a bit of spontaneity, this is the kind of art form that will always be remembered. Beware, you might be sitting in the middle of a flash mob site.
