Thank author of this post/comment

So Christmas has already gone and I am pretty sure that the kids are very happy with the gifts that they received for this Christmas. I sure hope that you enjoyed the holiday as well. Now let us turn ourselves to an even more explosive holiday. It's my personal favorite, actually, New Year's Day.

New Year's Day is always celebrated by people with a bang many many years ago after the Chinese introduced fireworks to the rest of the world. According to Chinese superstition, we have to do this in order to drive away the bad spirits and in order to bring good luck for the rest of the year. Overtime, the tradition has caught on elsewhere to celebrate the coming of a new year.

But it is not only through fireworks that you can celebrate the New Year. If your purpose is just to make noise for the season, then why not create your very own New Year horn instead? You don't even have to spend so much money on purchasing elaborately decorated New Year horns because you can do it yourself, even from the most mundane materials available around you. Why not take toilet paper or paper towel rolls, for example?

All you will need, aside from the tissue rolls, are wax paper, rubber band, your decorating materials, and a pencil. The procedures are actually pretty simple. First of all, you have to decorate the tissue roll in any you want using the pencil. Poke a series of holes 1 inch apart in the roll using your pencil. This is where the air will come out so that you can produce a honking sound. Then use the wax paper to cover one end of the cardboard roll. Secure this with the rubber band.

That's practically it. You are then supposed to blow the horn through the waxed side. Test it so that you can make sure that the wax paper is well-fit. Enjoy your new year and enjoy your new horn!
