Music is everywhere. It can express your feeling, relieve you from stress and describe how you value or love a person. Music comes to us naturally. It would be luckier to have such a nice voice. But what more could interest a music lover? It is to play a musical instrument to be able for them to know how to compose songs, express their own musicality and enjoy themselves as a hobby. One of the most popular musical instruments that are used today is the guitar. It is because, aside from being cheap, it can be easily bought on music stores and can be played almost anywhere compared with other musical instruments such as drums or piano. In addition to that, a mere buyer can easily learn how to play the guitar without even taking formal lessons. All you need to do after owning a guitar is to learn from friends, watching instructional videos or reading books or articles such as this. Before we learn the basics of playing guitar, we must understand and familiarize first its parts and their roles. At the top of the neck of the guitar, you will find the peg head. It holds the tuning keys in place. The tuning keys have gears which are used to tighten or loosen the string in order to tune the guitar. In the guitar neck you will find the frets, these are the spaces between one piece of metal bar to the next. The back of the neck which joins the neck and the body of the guitar is what we called, the heel. Meanwhile, the frontal part of the guitar body is what we called, the face. It is where we can find the other end of the strings, the rosette, the sound hole and the bridge bone. The rosette is the fancy inlay surrounding the sound hole to serve as a creative decoration. The sound hole is the oval or circular-shaped hole on the face of the guitar. On the other hand, the bridge bone is the place where the strings are fastened after passing through the sound hole. It is good to know first the parts of the guitar if you are interested in playing such.
