Your Arts N Crafts ArticlesCreative Collaboration Through the Internet
Films. Short films. Poems. Songs. Drawings. All of these are forms of art. They aren't exactly the crafts-y type of art that we've come to get used to in this site, but they're also pieces of art that gives us human beings the fire that we need in order to make each of our days in this life more bearable and more interesting. This is the kind of art that we're going to talk about in this particular post.
Art created by a single person is fun. You got to pour in your entire stream of thoughts and ideas, while nobody will reprimand you for contradicting someone else's. When you're up in this alley, you're pretty much free to do everything as you please. There isn't much to say about this particular strategy because it works pretty much well for everyone. But how about collaborating in order to create your craft? As far as films are concerned, this is almost inevitable. You will have to have multiple people who will work as actors, directors, propsmen, and so on. You can be a YouTube superstar and still have to reply on other YouTube providers in order to come out with interesting content once in a while. Same with songs. Why don't we try to formalize it and get on to something that will acquaint us with fellow artists over the Internet? For this purpose, I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt's hitRECord.org is the perfect solution for this one. I happened to pass by this website while reading some Web material for Joseph's latest movie, Inception. Working as an artist for most of his life, Joseph understands that there has to be collaboration between fellow artists to come out with content that is more interesting than it would have been if it were done alone. It also allows an artist to grow psychologically because he/she will have to find a way to fuse in his/her ideas and make sure that they blend well with the ideas of other artists. It's an enriching experience. So do you think you have what it takes to creatively collaborate with other people? Then visit hitRECord right now and register! You can talk about...
